Leo Orozco-Mulfinger

I run an independent consulting practice as Yossian Labs LLC, based in Seattle. I help founders build their first technical product — end-to-end, from product strategy through the data layer through shipping engineering. Three to six months at a time, two to three engagements per quarter.

I came to this from a deliberate widening of scope: data engineering taught me what the data actually is, modeling taught me what it's worth predicting, and product taught me which questions are worth asking in the first place. Most recently I led product at Picket Homes, a real-estate analytics platform that grew to $1.8M ARR, where I owned product strategy, the data layer, and engineering execution end-to-end — from the comparables redesign to an AI investment scoring engine combining images, location signals, and asset features into explainable scores. I left in August 2025 to bring that scope to founders who need it but can't hire it full-time yet.

Before the startup: Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa, Carnegie Mellon Security Fellow, Pi Mu Epsilon, published an R package (epair) on rOpenSci, data engineering fellow at Insight.
